Small Service (Oil + Filter) — done properly, done at your home or work

A Small Service is the perfect “keep it healthy” service interval — typically an engine oil + oil filter change and a filter refresh. What’s included can vary by manufacturer (e.g. some brands call it “oil service + microfilter”), so we confirm your exact schedule using your reg/engine and service requirements.

Quick snapshot
Small Service = oil service + filter refresh (varies by make)
  • Correct oil grade & spec for your engine
  • New oil filter + sump plug seal (where required)
  • Filter refresh (commonly air filter or cabin/microfilter)
  • Service reset + documentation

We’ll confirm what your manufacturer calls a “Small Service” before we start.

What a Small Service includes

Most vehicles’ Small Service is centred around fresh oil and a fresh filter. The exact combination depends on the manufacturer’s service schedule for your model/engine.

✅ Engine oil + oil filter service

We drain old oil, fit a new oil filter, replace seals where required, and refill using the correct manufacturer-approved oil grade and specification for your engine.

  • Correct oil spec for your vehicle (e.g. BMW LL, VW, MB, etc.)
  • New oil filter (quality equivalent to OEM)
  • Sump plug washer / seal replaced where applicable
  • Visual leak check after refill

✅ Filter refresh (varies by manufacturer)

Many “Small Service” schedules include a filter refresh. We commonly replace the engine air filter, but some manufacturers specify the cabin/microfilter instead (BMW is a common example).

  • Air filter replacement (common)
  • Cabin / microfilter replacement (common on BMW schedules)
  • We confirm what your service schedule specifies before booking

✅ Service reset + record keeping

After the work, we reset service indicators where applicable and provide clear documentation. If your vehicle supports it, we can update digital service records (subject to system access).

  • Service light reset
  • Invoice with parts/fluids used
  • Photos / notes available on request

✅ Quick health check (smart, not time-wasting)

We do a practical check while we’re there — the stuff that catches issues early without turning your driveway into a full workshop strip-down.

  • Fluid levels check (coolant / brake fluid / washer fluid)
  • Visual inspection for leaks / worn hoses
  • Tyre condition + basic safety glance-over

How it meets manufacturer standards

“Manufacturer-standard” isn’t a buzzword — it means using the correct specifications, following safe processes, and matching the service schedule for your exact vehicle.

Correct specifications
We use the correct oil grade/spec and quality parts that meet or exceed OEM requirements.
Schedule matched to your vehicle
A Small Service can differ by make/model/engine — we confirm what your manufacturer specifies.
Documentation
You’ll receive an invoice showing what was fitted and used, plus service reset where applicable.

Note: What’s included can vary. For example, some manufacturers define a “small service” as an oil service + cabin/microfilter rather than air filter. We’ll confirm your exact requirements before we attend so there are no surprises.
